Residential appraisals completed by EFK Appraisal Services contain an acute attention to detail; every single variable is accounted for. After the appraiser has completed an interior and exterior field analysis, a report can be compiled amid using primary and secondary data from sources such as the regional multiple listing service.

All appraisers must adhere to USPAP Guidelines to ensure the public trust. The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) is the generally recognized ethical and performance standards for the appraisal profession in the United States. USPAP was adopted by Congress in 1989, and contains standards for all types of appraisal services, including real estate, personal property, business and mass appraisal. Compliance is required for state-licensed and state-certified appraisers involved in federally-related real estate transactions.

A residential appraisal report is usually completed within 2 to 3 days depending upon property complexity and market volume demand.

The President and Founder of EFK Appraisal Services is native to Dubuque, Iowa. At an early age, the founder transplanted across country to settle in Los Angeles County. This is where a degree and apprenticeship towards the real estate appraisal profession transpired. After 7+ years appraising throughout Southern California, the company has decided to open a second branch in Jo Daviess County, Illinois to serve the surrounding Tri-State Area.
